About Us

Our Story

Spending nearly a decade working in IT Services across various industries, delivering projects to improve workplace efficiency and implementing systems, it became apparent that working for singular organisations would only hinder my performance and ability to share my skills with the rest of the professional world. With that in mind, I took the leap to set up Innovation Station in 2017 and haven’t looked back since. 

From then onwards Innovation Station has worked on a range of projects mostly focussing on customer experience. Improving a customer’s journey with your organisation is paramount to improving its perception amongst customers which only leads to future interactions. But that’s not the only way we’ve helped organisations achieve their goals, sometimes opportunities have arisen through legislative changes which can impact a whole region, such as the 2018 GDPR regulation in Europe. Innovation Station was perfectly placed through understanding a customer’s interactions with a specific client to assist them through that demanding period where GDPR compliance was the single most important goal.

Along the way, another consistent theme that has borne fruit for Innovation Station is the use of CRM solutions to further enhance that customer profile for businesses. Working extensively with Microsoft Dynamics, but not averse to some of the other players in the market, notably Salesforce and Firmstep (now part of the Granicus suite). The world of CRM is an interesting workspace in itself and using it effectively is a great way for businesses to increase customer engagement, improve customer satisfaction ratings which ultimately lead to greater sales for businesses. Innovation Station prides itself at working on projects which have not only implemented new CRM systems but actively enhanced and improved them for multiple clients leading to new levels of success for everyone involved.

Projects

One Housing

An exciting project which saw us work alongside Hitachi Solutions to deliver a brand new implementation of Dynamics CRM to provide a single view of the customer for all customer-facing departments. This was a galvanising project working with an organisation going through a technological improvement programme. Alongside the delivery of this CRM solution was the development of their data platform within a Microsoft Azure data warehouse which we had a strong hand in shaping to support the D365 solution.

Waltham Forest

London Borough of Waltham Forest

We joined the then London Borough of Culture, Waltham Forest, during a period of digital transformation. Although being hired to deliver a customer portal for their housing customers, we were quickly able to take hold of and implement a brand new housing application online process which had fallen behind. Our previous experience in housing and customer experience was of great importance here and enabled us to hit the ground running. This was all built on a different CRM platform than we were used to, Firmstep but, was a great way for us to be exposed to different software and continue our own learning experience. 

Catalyst Housing

One of our first assignments which started with an exciting proof of concept to revolutionise the customer journey for Catalyst. This was achieved working alongside Mosaic Island who are proven within the MS Dynamics industry. The organisation themselves were very enthusiastic and had a great appetite to try new ways of working, in this case, their first foray into using the Agile project methodology. We were able to deliver a well-received proof of concept and also coach the business on how to effectively use Agile to build systems from scratch. 

Following this proof of concept we were able to apply our knowledge gained of the organisation to assist them with achieving GDPR compliance. This was by no means an easy task and proved we were able to grind out results when up against it, its still one of greatest achievements to date.
